Number Garden Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 12 September 2026

Joydip Datta (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Number Garden, an offline-first math learning game for children ages 3–8. This policy describes how the Android app handles information.

Information stored on the device

Number Garden does not require an account, name, email address, phone number, location, photos, microphone, contacts, or cloud backup. The game stores its own game settings and progress on the device, including the selected level, coins, milestones, sound preference, difficulty choice, and launch choice. This information is used only to keep the game working and is not sent to us by the game.

You may clear this local information by using the game’s reset option or by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings. Clearing it resets local game progress and preferences.

Optional analytics

The Android version will ask a parent or guardian for permission before loading Google Analytics. If permission is not given, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and the app does not send analytics information to Google.

If permission is given, Google Analytics may receive limited game-use and technical information. The app’s custom analytics events report the game version, operation type, score, number of answered questions, and the arithmetic operands and result for a completed problem. Google may also process technical information that its tag receives when it is loaded. Google processes this information under its own privacy terms. We use analytics only to understand aggregate game use and improve Number Garden; we do not use it for advertising, sell it, or use it for personalised advertising.

Parents or guardians may withdraw analytics permission at any time in the app’s Settings. Withdrawing permission immediately disables the configured measurement ID, removes the injected tag and application-side analytics queue, and attempts to clear accessible Google Analytics cookies and browser storage. The app does not make future analytics calls after withdrawal; a request that already began before withdrawal cannot be recalled.

Children

Number Garden is intended for children. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. A parent or guardian must make the optional analytics choice. The game remains fully usable when analytics permission is declined.

Advertising, purchases, and sharing

Number Garden does not display ads, offer in-app purchases, or sell or rent information. We do not share game-progress information with schools, other users, or advertising partners.

Security and retention

Local game information remains on the device until it is reset or the app’s storage is cleared. If analytics permission is granted, Google retains and handles analytics information under its applicable terms and settings. For the Number Garden Google Analytics property, event data is retained for 2 months and user data is retained for 14 months. The property is configured to reset user-data retention when there is new user activity. Google explains its data-retention controls at Google Analytics Data Retention and describes its broader handling of data in its Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we will update this policy before the change is released and update the corresponding Google Play disclosures.
